...this is just not satisfying, and truly not honest. I have recently called into question that phrase "similar to pen and paper," and it has become quite clear that the similarity ends where the ink meets the page. Comparing pre-21st century ubiquitous tools with ubiquitous laptops is akin to saying modern cars and airplanes are similar to horse and buggy. The multi-exponential leap in the capability of the tools forces us to re-think use and re-think our vision of how these tools can support learning.
